Advanced Fluid Protection Technology
In any closed-loop HVAC, heating, or industrial cooling system, the presence of air and dirt is the primary cause of efficiency loss and premature equipment failure. The ArkSpiral High-Efficiency Spiral Air & Dirt Separator (also known as a Micro-bubble Deaerator) is the ultimate solution for maintaining a clean, air-free environment. Unlike traditional filters or strainers that only capture large debris, the ArkSpiral uses high-precision fluid dynamics to remove even the most microscopic contaminants.
Core Principle: The Spiral Mesh Static Zone
The heart of the ArkSpiral is its unique 3D Spiral Tube. This core is fabricated from a complex matrix of copper or stainless steel wires welded into a three-dimensional mesh.
As fluid enters the separator, the spiral structure breaks the laminar flow and creates a “static zone” (a region of relative tranquility). This reduction in velocity gives micro-bubbles enough time to coalesce and rise to the air chamber at the top. Simultaneously, suspended dirt particles, even those too small for standard strainers, collide with the mesh and settle into the collection chamber at the bottom.
Performance Benefits for Industrial Systems
1. Elimination of Micro-Bubbles & Gas Pockets Dissolved air and micro-bubbles in water act as insulators, significantly reducing the heat transfer coefficient. By stripping the system of free air and micro-bubbles, ArkSpiral ensures the system operates at its theoretical maximum thermal efficiency. It also eliminates the annoying “gurgling” noise and prevents air-locks in high-elevation piping.
2. 5-Micron Precision Cleaning Typical Y-strainers only capture particles larger than 50-100 microns. ArkSpiral technology is proven to remove impurities as small as 5 microns. This includes fine sand, rust particles, and metal shavings that would otherwise cause abrasive wear on pump seals and block narrow heat exchanger channels.
3. Corrosion and Cavitation Prevention Oxygen is a leading driver of electrochemical corrosion in metal pipes. By continuously removing air, the ArkSpiral minimizes oxygen levels, extending the lifespan of the entire infrastructure. Furthermore, it protects high-speed pumps from cavitation—a destructive phenomenon caused by vapor bubbles imploding against pump impellers.
4. Rapid Commissioning & Reduced Maintenance During the initial filling of a system, air trapped in the pipes can lead to hours or even days of manual venting. The ArkSpiral drastically reduces commissioning time by automatically venting large volumes of air and micro-bubbles. Maintenance is simplified through a side-mounted discharge valve, allowing operators to flush out accumulated sludge in seconds without shutting down the system.
