The ArkMag Magnetic Water Processor (also known as a Magnetic Water Conditioner or Permanent Magnetic Descaler) represents a leap forward in physical water treatment technology. By harnessing the massive energy stored in NdFeB rare earth permanent magnets, this system restructures the physical properties of water molecules without altering their chemical composition. Wuxi Ark has optimized the internal magnetic circuit design to ensure high-intensity field concentration, providing a robust defense against scaling and biological fouling in cooling towers, HVAC systems, and industrial heat exchangers.

In-Depth Working Principle

1. Advanced Scale Inhibition through Crystal Refinement

When water or fluid flows through the high-intensity vertical magnetic field generated by the NdFeB core, a micro-electromotive force is produced. This force causes “crystal grain refinement.” In raw water, scale-forming crystals typically have a diameter of approximately 3.39 microns. Under the influence of the ArkMag field, these particles are broken down into approximately 0.22 microns. These refined particles remain suspended in the water rather than adhering to pipe walls or heat exchange surfaces. The faster the flow rate, the more significant the electromotive force, resulting in superior scale prevention.

2. Physical Sterilization and Algae Eradication

The intense magnetic field alters the conductivity and osmotic pressure of the water. As microorganisms and algae pass through this field, their cell walls are subjected to physical stress, leading to rupture and the cessation of reproduction. This non-biocidal approach ensures a clean system without the risk of microorganisms developing resistance, which is common with chemical dosing.

3. Corrosion Passivation and Rust Prevention

Magnetic treatment induces a micro-electronic flow that facilitates the conversion of loose yellow rust ($Fe_2O_3 \cdot nH_2O$) into a stable, black magnetic iron oxide ($Fe_3O_4$). This stable oxide forms a dense, protective film on the inner surface of the pipes. This “passivation layer” effectively isolates the dissolved oxygen in the water from the metal pipe wall, thereby inhibiting electrochemical corrosion and preventing the formation of “red water.”
